Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

Rich, I don't know what the cough is, but I love the way he runs over to see you when you call him and cocks his head like a puppy. I call BOs the golden retriever of chickens because from what I hear they act like it. Can't wait til mine arrives!

I am NOT going to the agway chicken thing today. They have a thing
On the website that says NY law prohibits them from selling less than
Six chicks. ??? I know if I go I will have to get chicks and I already
have more coming in may. I will be good. Really I will. This is SO hard
I went to Agway completely unaware that it was Chick Day. OMG so cute. And they had Speckled Sussex! But I resisted temptation because I'll be OTL when the chicks arrive in 3 WEEKS!!!!

I decided to bid on 6 LavOrp eggs so I'll probably only have 3-4 chicks to worry about. I decided to learn how to sex day-old chicks and open a chicken hatchery here on LI. Whaddya think??? (Maybe I should go take MY medication now!)

Thanks Suzanne. The BO is a hen and yes she is my sweetest one. She runs to me every time I go near the coop. She always want to bet petted. That's why I have 9 more BO"S in the brooder. You will love them.

I decided to hatch a coupla Lavender Orpingtons (thanks for the idea, Roberta). I'm getting 6+ eggs so I won't have too many to deal with. Hopefully, I'll get 4 from the hatch and at least one or two of them will be hens.

Did I hear someone say, "DO IT!! DO IT!!"? Oh, I'm sorry. That was me.

Thanks I will look it up and see what it is all about. I don't know if anybody noticed but the Speckled Sussex sneezed in the video also. I have a cough and cold now.... I hope i didn't give them anything that may hurt them.

Rich, how many times have we told you not to kiss the chickens on the lips?!!
