Narrowsburg is up the road from me here.
This is what we all look like up here before we have our morning coffee! That's a guy I know Danny headed to his pickup truck going out for coffee. Most people need a shave up here, but hey image isn't everything.

Today my girls have adapted well to their new aviary. Two were on the ladder, one on a branch (Gladys, the tree hugger), one was picking at the cabbage head and one on the nest. Life is good!

Two more just hatched. Leaving in bator for awhile. One has a puffy belly button I guess u call it
with a tiny bit of blood. Should I put blue Kote or bacitracin on it when I put her into the brooder?
They look grey ish but are wet. Pictures later

Jeanett, I have a splash pullet, and a blue cockerel.
Did you want a USPS approved box, or just any old thing?
The "real" shipping boxes are like $10.00 each, they have holes and handles.
I don't really see them for sale alot, they are like gold to some people.
But I will be bringing a few extra cardboard boxes in case someone needs them.
If you plan on buying birds, I would just bring a small kitty carrier.
2 or 3 Silkies will fit in there fine.

I wanted a shipping box with a handle just in case I buy some thing. I didnt want to walk around with the bulky pet carrier all day. Too much analyzing on my part

Leave the carrier in the car. Or put it under my table. Or in my car. It's very relaxed, don't worry, we'll figure something out.

Leave him till he's totally dry. Depending on how much of a bump there is, the biggest concern is getting pecked.
Once they find it, they turn into cannibals, and can peck him to death.
Just a dab of bacitracin is fine, I wouldn't use blue kote yet.
Once he's all fluffy, it could cover up the bump, and it's harder to find and pick at.
