I'm signed up for the 9:30am slot with my friend Mary. We could use a young 'un to lift our old butts over the walls, ha ha. The only part I really didn't like was getting hit with the fire hose, but that was just cause it was so cold then. I am hoping for warmer weather this year.

I was thinking that too, I figured your youngest are about the same age as mine are. You are all going to be getting dark brahma hens if my project goes well. I was talking with Herbert Rogers (the owner of that gigantic light brahma rooster) and he said that dark brahmas are hard to find and that I should work with them. So, I will give it a few hatches to see what I have to work with. I guess I will be looking for some better quality pair as well. Caleb, he is also the one that raises those seabrights. He is super nice and took the time to chat with me a bit while he was packing up that bohemoth. I met so many fantastic people today!

Thanks, Caleb, for being such a good sport about being the only roo in the henhouse today. In my years of teaching, there are those about whom I say, "That kid can do anything in life he chooses." You are one of those! I struggled through high school feeling so different. But when I got older, I learned to embrace those differences. When my daughter was little, she refused to wear socks that matched. She still doesn't. She's a 27 year old girl who likes muscle cars and runs into burning buildings. Different is good!!

I think today, in addition to the cutest little silkie ever, you got a handful of second moms...It's what we do.

The little girls are in the coop tonight. Actually IN the coop, not huddling outside of it.

Good morning all; Glad everyone got home safe. It was great meeting everyone. Caleb your pretty amazing Don't worry about "weird" My son never did. Our 2 car pooling feathered friends got home safe also. We told Loretta's husband that she won her Wyandotte in the Chinese auction.I really don't think he believes us.

oh that was him? i was talking to a couple who showed sebrights, and they told me about him, Didnt realize that was him =]
