Its day 9 for me and my 20 that My husband still doesn't know anything about. You guys make me so nervous. 1 of the 20 doesn't look like it is developing.Should I take it out???

Roberta: Now what do you do since they are still in the rocker? That's my biggest fear is forgetting to take it out..

The cover of my son's Novel expected to be out in Jan. 2013 Takes place in East Islip in the '80s

Still only one pip, although at least 2 others have been rocking.

I took a break from hovering to work in the yard. I set the 18 very heavy stepping stones - they look great! (Call an ambulance.)

In the meantime, the pole saw broke, the hammock broke, and the stand I bought for the hammock s***s. I figured I'd take a rest, got the mail and found the plants I ordered. One of the plants (x6) is the wrong thing - my mistake.
All I have to say is

I put the two new LS babies in the brooder with the WO survivor. One egg is hatching slowly, and I've seen 2 others rocking, but so far that's it.

We're going out for awhile. I can't stand it anymore!

Aww, this stinks! I feel so bad for you. On the other hand, you have saved me a lot of money and aggravation. I have exactly 0 interest in hatching my own eggs now. Really hope you get some more babies by the end of the weekend, fingers crossed!!!

Day 22 and no pips. Doesn't look good. These are the ones I
thought survived the 105 spike on day one. Oh bummer
no legbar :( Well My Pet Chicken is selling them next spring.
I do have my Ameraucana which lay pretty blue eggs so I'll
get over it. I'll leave the eggs in for a few more days just in case.
MPC sending me 6 day old on the 30th and I have Cuckoo and
Barnevelder due June 1st.
My mom thinks 2 of my orps are Roos. They are only 2 weeks old
but they have slightly bigger combs than the other 2. It figures it's
my Blackie (first I ever hatched) and the Blue orp. Maybe she's
wrong. anyways I might be converting my Brother to chicken folk.
He was over today playing with the chicks and looking at my 2
older girls. He said he has to set his raccoon traps in his yard
cause he has a bunch of very noisy coons living in it. He might
take 2 or 3 chicks. Ima tell him he has to have no less
than 3. Then later on I'll foster another 3 on him. Haha.
His wife is gonna freak if he does take some chicks lol

Karen, that sux. I have one that pipped HOURS ago but hasn't made more progress than a small hole. Two others were rolling, but I haven't seen them do it lately.

Of course, I'm trying not to stare at the incubator. I feel bad I only got 1 White Orpington. How much you wanna bet it's a roo?

Bobby thinks Lavinia is a roo because her feathers are different than the other girls. I'm waiting to see if there are any wattles developing. So far, her comb looks normal. For a girl, I mean.

If I end up with 5 out of 5 roos, I'm gonna be VERY upset!

well then sounds like everyone is having a rather rough day... Sorry =/

Nah. I ordered a new hammock, Bobby bought a new saw, I'm acting like a baby about my elbow (I was in the hammock when it broke) and I figure the fewer chicks that hatch, the fewer I have to find homes for.

Besides, there's a piece of chocolate mousse cheesecake in the fridge with my name on it (did I mention that I was in the hammock when it broke?). And I don't have to be back in school until Tuesday.

Life is good!!

My sentiments, exactly!
I worry about the chicks getting hung up in the turner when they pop out. So far, they have all been ok.
You have to think like mama chicken... Like she's NOT going to push the eggs around when she gets off of them to poop?
Or, her girlfriends won't try to steal her eggs. They will roll all over the place, and mama gets a better hatch rate than all of us with the fancy equipment.
