Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

I came home around 1:20 and found the garage door opened. I figured Bobby was still working so I went around back to check on the roasting chickens. I let everyone out and sat to watch them for awhile. A little drizzle fell so I went inside and did some stuff. Bobby was napping. Then the Tstorm hit. I looked out front to see how the catch basin was handling it since Bobby cleaned it up and saw that my daughter had left the poptop up on her car. So I went out in the storm to close it (and the driver's side window) and realized the garage was still opened and it was raining in on a box of books I just brought back from my classroom. I said something to Bobby about it, he got defensive, then I got po-ed. He went to hug me and I shrugged him off. Long story short, we had an argument over dinner about it. He said I hurt his feelings by not accepting his hug (like he's done with it, so I have to be), then told me it was my fault anyway because I was the last one to see the garage door open. So I guess by that logic, it was my fault my daughters front seat got wet because I was the last one to notice it, and Bobby should have gone out in the rain to close the coop door because he was the last one to notice it. As it was, I went out in the rain, took care of the car, the garage, the coop AND the chickens. Because even though they're both home all day, it's still my responsibility. And the final blow? He said, and I quote: "When there's nothing left to complain about, what are you going to complain about?" I must be some terrible person, huh?

Okay, end of rant.
SHIrT ends up my fault when I'm not even in the same state

Gotta love kids who love your chicks.....specially all prommed out. LOLOL

Giggle....giggle...I have all sons.
She's really my best buddy. My husband calls her my "Mini-me" except now she's taller than me. We have a great time together, she inherited my love for all animals. My sons are awesome, they are so much fun and really feed my addiction to sports. (I can watch them play all day, every day!)
It looks like a war zone just one block up the street from me There has to be 8 trees down. I have seen a lot of T-storms but I don't think I have ever seen as many strikes at once. Before the storm I figured I'd leave the garage door open to cool things off and. just push the babies back further into it. Well that was a mistake. I had to run out during it to close the door. Talking about giving birds a bath. It did cool things off though.
We didn't get much of anything out here until about 3 am. Then my house was shaking from the thunder, and poor Daffodil was scared. My dog woke me up because she was flapping around in her crate because of the noise. I had to leave a light on for her, and she went to sleep. (My husband would call me nuts, but it's always worked for my birds. They just need to see!)
i love the prom pics! last year at the prom a bunch of us parents were like paparazzi...we couldnt stop taking photos...
i vote for the Chicken Shirt w/green on green... the white lettering on green is nice but the shixt word really jumps out ....maybe a bit much?

I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?zx5wvk
I have SO many pictures. We brought her over to her boyfriends house, since it was HIS Prom, so she could take pictures with him and all his friends. We're friendly with his parents, and his oldest sister used to babysit for my kids when she was in HS!! We took hundreds of pictures, in the sweltering heat. I'm glad it's over-it was very stressful getting everything together. LOL. all the dressing up and hair and makeup, and shoes, and hairspray...I'm just not good at all that.

Beautiful... I hope you took a picture of her with Daffodi in her prom dress.....I have pictures of my husband holding Cheech his monkey on our wedding day

Your daughter looks beautiful. Her boyfriend is one lucky guy. (but not too lucky I hope!!)
Thank you! Her boyfriend knows how lucky he is. They've been dating for a long time (17 months) he's alot older AGE wise, but he's kinda a nerd, she's his first girlfriend, he's into, um, STAR WARS, (He's a Jedi warrior-LOL) and well, he's like part of the family. She came home directly from the prom, no after party for her. His parents and two older sisters have done a good job with him. He's always respectful, and the funny thing is that HIS father threatened his life if he touched her. My husband doesn't have to say a word, but of course he did the first time he met him. We all understand each other.

I went to CostCo this afternoon and someone brought their two Cockatoos with them! They were walking up and down the aisles and Charlie was saying, "Hi!" "Hello!" to everyone in a very clear voice. He let me pet him and stroke his feathers and even held my finger in his beak gently. Clearly he knew a bird nerd when he saw one.

Not sure how sanitary that is, but what the hey, everyone seemed to enjoy it regardless.

Stay dry everyone! Captain America and Princess Merida signing off!

Oh such cuteness!! My littlest one had the "Muscled" Spiderman costume, and wore it until it fell apart. Your older daughters expression is priceless. She looks proud of her sister. That's awesome. Love the princess dress.

Going to an old fashion country auction this morning. The house is right down the block and I have loved it for 25 years. Just what i need ,to drag home more stuff.

I'm telling you-sounds familiar. My husband gets his panties in a twist over some really ridiculous stuff. Sometimes he'll come out with something, and I'll give him a "If my eyes could throw daggers, you'd be dead" look, and he's like "Oh, did I say that out loud? Darn" sometimes, it makes me laugh, sometimes I want to throttle him.

Right now, he's eating breakfast, and talking to the nutty cockatiel about how I am not a morning person, and how he hopes I didn't snap at the bird this morning and hurt his feelings., since I'm not a morning person. Honestly, if he wasn't amusing....

I love stuff like that-we live around the block from the historic part of our town, and they have a barn sale every now and again at some some of the old farm houses. I don't go very often, since I have no place to put more stuff, but I'm going to do some giving away and cleaning out of stuff...then I can get more STUFF!

(I'm a fan of old barn/country stuff!)
