Southern NY, Dutchess county and below

I'm having the perfect day.  I've been in bed since 11:30 with a migraine.  Complete will chills, nausea and stroke-level headache.  I got some water down, but I was unable to eat.  I took the chance and swallowed a couple of ibuprofen and the pain has receded somewhat.  I'm going to try a hot shower next.  I'm supposed to be tutoring in a couple of hours.  Must eat something.

Fortunately, before it got bad I got the coop cleaned out and the canning finished.  And a phone call to unemployment.

Oh and I did sign up for the crochet square swap.  Here's the link again:  https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/710577/fall-crochet-block-swap-sign-ups-until-oct-15th

Anyone else interested?  It should make a gorgeous afghan.

Sorry about your migraine. A mix of aspirin Tylenol and caffeine
usually help mine enough so I can semi function.

I got my coop cleaned too. Not so much of my other chores though.
I'm taking a couch break while the laundry washes.
I think I might sell my aquarium. So much work and so
much money for supplies. I keep letting it go for awhile and
this time I killed off all but one coral :( my fish are big and
fat and pretty though. I don't really want to get rid of it I'm
just cringing at the $350 I need to spend for a new light fixture.
Mines only 2 yrs old but the fans and the moonlights stopped working
My fault for letting it get all crudded up with salt. Chickens are
so much easier and huggable.

Ooh I just got my new Fresh egg cookbook
from Amazon. Unfortunately I have no eggs to
cook cause only one is laying (silkie is broody)
The others haven't started laying yet even though
they are technically old enough.

I just signed up. I love to crochet, and man the fall colors are my favorite!!

Rosie, any luck finding the Red Heart with Love chocolate? Michaels doesn't carry it and AC Moore and Joann are both out of stock. I found it online for about $6.50 a skein, including shipping. Do you want me to order for you too so we can split the shipping? Just a thought...

I would love to do the granny swap but I really need to finish my afghan. I also want to work on a couple other projects before Jan when I go to the vogue show and proceed to buy more yarn.a never ending cycle.. Too much yarn and too little time.
Sorry to hear about your migraine. Richards whole family gets them.

Dang it....my ten minute reply to Toxic just got wiped out when the site crashed.

Thank you for checking into the CL lines. The NPIP paperwork you receive may be fine. I will ask the state tester when she comes next week.

Our 10 egg layers are not doing a very good job of egg laying. We get 1-2 eggs a day. Yesterday there were none! I gave the gals a little lecture today, and told them to either get with the program or some of them will have to look for new homes!

I'm the instigator and put the post up about the swap, but I'm committed to doing a few more lap quilts for Haiti (with my church.)

Oh I was going to go to Michaels this morning! Let me check on more place-we have a yarn store across town (I think it's still there!) I'll check there this am, and if they don't have it, then definitely-we could split the shipping and skeins! if they DO, I'll text you with the price, if you want me to pick some up for you! (More Dunkin on me this time?? )

This is going to be SO much fun-those colors will be gorgeous! PLUS, my living room is brick, wood and terracotta-it will match perfectly! We're getting a fireplace wood burning insert (to save money on the ridiculous oil prices) so this will all add to my rustic look thingy I have been trying to get going on here!

That's a wonderful cause, Littlecritters! I worked for a doctor that came from Haiti, we did so much transporting supplies, and collections for Haiti. Such a good cause!!

There's a Joann in Holbrook that has it in stock. I'll call and ask them to hold in and go out to pick it up today. No shipping charges and an excuse to get together for DD again! How many skeins do you want?
