Other people who say, 'crick' are S. E. Oklahomans. Places like Antlers, Hugo etc.
About the 'Whales/Wells', my great aunt used to say she was, 'tarred' when she needed to 'set down a spell.' She also called one day, very aggravated, because of the problem with her 'tar.' It took me a minute to realize that she'd had a flat tire while out.
And yes, those accents just mysteriously come back once you are with/talking to, 'your people.' lol!
So, anyone going to share a 'mater sandwich with me? I have a ways to go before my 'maters are producing! (Then again, I could always just give up and have a potato chip sandwich until the tomatoes are ready! Is there any food that doesn't make a good sandwich?)
