Space managment with game breeds

Not looking for "game". just worried bout cocks killing each other. Longtails, "giant" cochins, and sumatras are are selling for 40 - 45 each here just looking for some to breed not looking for any thing great just to breed true to type. Nobody close has any and not wanting to pay outrageous shipping for adult breeders.

If they're not game then you don't have to worry about cocks killing each other

, Ideal would probably be a good bet then. Seems to be one of the cheapest/best hatcheries i've come across.

Honestly with all that is going on with disease your best bet IS a hatchery. Some breeds of game are not available from a hatchery. Sporting chickens is illegal, so how 'game' they are really does not matter. If you are going to show then the standard is what is important. Ideal birds are what they say they are. They are not SQ or sport quality, but they ARE pure bred, that they guarantee.

I keep 1 roo to 3 to 4 hens, excess roos are culled.

That what i am wanting purebreds to breed. just going to seel the at acution I due need pullarium certified to do so and I think i can get a certificate with the chicks though ideal. And they are the only hatchy I've found that has as many of the breeds I like as the do. we do need to stop talking about gameness though I was just worried about my roos killing each other, but this is turning into a fighting string against the rules

There's nothing wrong with gameness, it is just what you use it for.. If there was then i wouldn't want/say anything about it.. Personally i believe that game breeds need the "Game" trait if it's going to be attached to their name.. Plus it's what makes them "that breed".. It's just personal opinion like i believe great danes should be BIG dogs, and hounds should be hunting dogs, and working dogs should be used on farms/Doing work instead of just lying in house and being obese.

Just personal opinions is all. To each their own

Ok i can see where you're coming from but I don't want to put that gameness to work like a border collie needs to work. But I guess that one reason i'll be keeping my breeding groups in seperate pens other than the fact I want pure breds and not a cubalaya cochin cross for instance. can't even picture that, lol:)

. But yeah i understand not putting the gameness to work like a Border collie.. Just saying i like for it to "Be there". i guess i should have used a poodle as a example? It's not a poodle unless it has curly hair!

Hey cuban Longtails let me know if you start shipping not to far away from you I generally like to buy local or from a hatchery but Silver Peonix are the only longtails I can find around here. Let me know what color(s) you have. Thinking I want Red Blues so I can get some splash.
