I was very tempted not to make a thread on this at all... asumming that some might think it is a "brag" post. The reason I posted it anyway was hope that I might get some others to consider doing something similar and others might praise the Lord for how wonderful God is. And if there is any bragging to be done it will be bragging on God!

Update:

The new building as you have seen is moving along well. Started installing some windows yesterday and hope that will give a little extra light to work with inside.

My new main flock of 50 ISA Brown pullets are about 10 weeks old today. I also have 3 White Leghorn pullets 10 weeks old in that same flock. These should be laying eggs by the first part of September. I have about 10 Marans pullets and 9 RIR pullets that are about 1 week old which I will shortly merge with the ones that are now hatching (6 so far). The ones that are hatching now are “Easter Eggers” and Wellsumers(thanks to a dozen eggs donated by faykokoWV).

I hope to have a good solid supply of fresh brown eggs with some white, blue/green and dark brown eggs to add to the mix.

Hoping to have these all migrated together and in the new building by fall. May God give us a productive summer.

Progress on the new Sparrow Ministries building:

One room will be for egg cleaning and storage the other room will be housing for about 75 hens. The insulation is almost done and painting will begin soon. There is a small window between the cleaning room and the coop area to allow the Granchildren easy viewing

I better get busy since we are already up to about half dozen eggs a day from the new layers...

The ISA Brown pullets are maturing nicely... Like I said they are just starting to lay(about 6 eggs a day so far) Here are a few late night phone pics lol

I love what you are trying to do! If distribution becomes a concern (because it very well could be once all those girls start 'earning their keep') my suggestion would be to start praying for God to show you a church that values this sort of servant evangelism and has a program or wants to start one. If you want to hear some practical ideas on setting that up or logistics, feel free to PM me.
