I would like to make a few comments

I have to say I am very thankful that there has been enough kindness in these posts that no one has become unreasonably angry. It is not likely that we could have a thread hang around this long without having some disagreement with so many different opinions. This thread has become somewhat of a blog for me and I’d hate to see it disappear so please continue to be kind. Everyone will always have different views and that is fine. We all need to accept that people think differently and their comments will reflect that. Responding with anger will defiantly NOT help our purpose. I will tell you that some of the “negative” comments have been helpful to me in that they have made me watch closely that I don’t become prideful as if I deserve any kind of credit(God is the giver and we are the servants that distribute with joy).

Rather the hearts of man are hardened or softened is a gift from God. Since this is a gift he is of course free to give that gift to whom ever he pleases. A hardened heart needs mercy from our living God but that mercy should start with us Christians.

Haven't read the entire thread...but just wanted to say that I came across your idea last year and ever since I have been working towards increasing my eggie output(aka:adding more hens) sooo eventually we will have enough eggs to give away to family, neighbors, whoever! Just wanted to say that your idea has encouraged me to keep thinking of others first and I know my kids will get a GREAT life lesson out of giving away extra eggs! I think actions of kindness speak louder than any words and people see you faith by doing good works! Blessings, Keri

To me it's a little like motel rooms. The Gideons place a bible in each room without asking for anything in return. When you rent that room, you aren't required to read that bible, but if you want to, it is there. It harms absolutely nobody. But it has helped unknown numbers of folk who may have needed an encouraging word at a low point in their life. For the majority of people who pass through that room, it has absolutely no effect on them. They got the rest their bodies needed and they move on. But for those who may have needed it, it possibly changed their life. Take it or leave it. It's up to you.

The ad placed on the outside of every carton of store bought eggs doesn't make me buy from just that producer of eggs. I am not forced to do anything because of what is printed there.

We don't spread the Gospel because God needs to force himself on anyone. We do it because we know what a difference he has made in our lives and we want others to have something so good in their lives.

I don't expect to 'convert' anyone who disagrees with the scriptures being placed in the eggs. That's not my reason for doing what I do or posting here.

The bible that I live by even tells me that I will be misunderstood as I try to show God's love and kindness to people in hopes that they will also discover this loving creator.

Update: The owners of the property down the road have given me permission to take the 2 coops. Having said that I know He will provide the helpers needed to get them to my home. God's timing is impeccable. Agway has just put up the sign that they are taking chick orders. The funds to purchase twelve more layer chicks and 20 meat birds has also been provided. Thanking God for answered prayer. Thanking God for your inspiration and example as well, Mike. Oh yes blessings galore. Friday I ran out of egg cartons, Sat a friend gave me three and later in the afternoon I rec'd an e-mail from some friends asking if I needed egg cartons. I told no one that I was out. The friends that e-mailed me gave me over 100 cartons and told me that they had more when I needed them. They heard about my ministry and wanted to be a part of it. Praise God for providing.

Update:

This has been a busy few weeks. My second grandson was born this past week and we have fought a lot of snow on and off. Also a dear old friend of mine pasted away and I spent part of this past weekend in another county with her family.

I have about 20 doz eggs to deliver this week. Hoping they will reach people who need to be feed physically and/or spiritually.
