it's basically FL jambalaya. You find a cabbage palm cut it down peal it and eat the trunk/root cook it up and mix it with peppers and either sausage, squirrel, or fish it's one of my favorites!
He’s nearly taken a finger from me more than once lol. Never mean to get in his face and you wouldn’t think it would be so easy to miss such a large thing but it’s happened a few times

Nope, it's just called that cuz it's looks like cabbage when you cut it up. It full of minerals and vitamins too. It's actually really good for you!
