Speckled Sussex?

All the chicks are the same age 4 wks old in two days, but the Speckled Sussex in the middle is much smaller than the Easter Egger (left) and Golden Laced Wyandotte (right). Tried to get a photo with all of them standing but Goldie wouldn't cooperate.

easter eggers mature more quickly than the heritage breeds

If you're asking whether or not that's a Sussex, it's indeed the SS you bought. If not, a little clarification might help us out.

Judging by feather growth, they appear to be close in age. Could just be differing development rates.

No she looks just like the photos of SS chicks. Sorry I wasn't clear on the ? Guess after reading my own answers, the question should be - Is she possibly a he? I'll try to get a better photo of the SS chick from the front and sides.

They were from Wilco and they all arrived on February 1 the clerk said they were two days old on that date. Of the three, the SS is suppose to mature to be the largest at 7lbs. Hoping she isn't a he, since I read that roosters are sometimes smaller chicks.

Judging by feather growth, they appear to be close in age. Could just be differing development rates.

Ok hoping that is it. Just a bit surprised that the one that will be largest is currently the smallest.

You can't really compare sizes of chicks of different breeds. They'll all be different in development.

They all grow at different rates. However, they'll all be caught up about week 25 or so..

The one with the green legs is not an SS...which leads me to wonder if any are..

However, the two on the right do look like they could be SS...

I hatch a ton of SS chicks, for showing so I have an idea on them.

The only one which is an SS is the one in the middle. Easter Egger with green legs is on the left and Golden Laced Wyandotte is on the right.

At this point its way too soon to judge on sex. Give it some time!
