Spent my birthday finishing the new setup.

They came out on their own! Moved their food outside and a few millworms and bam! They kept following me because now they knew I had treats. Happily pecking at the grass and talking up a storm.

I've heard of this chicken math. Considering we have a dog, a cat, 2 ferrets, a betta, and a tarantula and I keep saying "no more".... yeah might happen.
Having lots of critters does not help, only hinders. Sorry... It just happens. :D 3+1 =9 and 9+2 =15 absolutely bizarre. Dear husbands try to slow us down and then become our enablers, county ordinances are blown through and we become a lawless sort. Neighbors are bribed into silence with our eggs. There is no hope. :jumpy Especially when you have a nice coop.

Lucky for me my wife is a compulsive cleaner so despite the zoo, the house stays squeaky clean. However she is the one who wanted chickens, I just made it happen lol No husbands to stop us here. Just two women (and two kids) and a bunch of animals.

Looks great !
congrats on being a productive human also...most 27 year olds I know would spend their birthday doing FAR less.

That is awesome! I get hay stuck in my shirt, hair, teeth... not to mention the rest of the muck I drag in. Sometimes I see trails of organic matter falling behind me lol. Just kidding, kinda. I wouldn't want it any other way. I do love my fuzzy babies (rest are grown)
Love to see a photo of your tarantula and ferrets. Good fun! :)
Happy 27th Birthday @kraftykrow !!!! :ya

Oh that's cool. I had a friend who had a tarantula and I thought it pretty awesome walking across my hand, arm, shoulder.... head. Then it lost its awesomeness and I gave it back. Don't mind fuzzy spiders... it's the white, black and brown I don't much care for. :hmm Cute ferrets! Thanks for sharing. Good you are settled at such a young age. Just think of all the grief you avoid when you go home and spend quality time with the ones you love! Plus, chicken, ferret and tarantula feed is way cheaper than tearing up the town. Looking forward to seeing you around!!!

Idk, ferret vet bills can rack up pretty high lol. Ferrets are walking hazards, there are so many ridiculous ways they can die or get themselves killed. But they are hilarious in their stupidity. Sometimes I can let the tarantula walk on me when we are cleaning her cage, but I dont often not because I fear being bit, but because of little hairs she flicks off her back when startled. Those are not fun...
