spilling feed

I feed my chickens ground organic grain, peas, soy. They spill an awful lot. Any suggestions as to how to prevent that?

You can hang your feeder or put it on blocks. It makes it harder for them to shovel it out. It doesn't solve the problem but it can help. Also waiting to fill the feeder until they've picked up most of what they spill.
