Can you post a photo or link to the particular type of item you are asking about? There are a lot of "no waste" products out there and some are more effective than others. It might also help if you post the type of feeder you are using where you are having the issues of food spillage.

The best way to prevent feed spillage is to ferment your feed. Zero waste.

The second best way to prevent chickens from beaking out their feed is not to mix any seed or scratch into it. Chickens beak out the feed to get to the exciting seeds.
