They hurt when they stab you :lau

My husband was looking at one that had 3 inch or longer spines. I asked him if he wanted me to die :lau

Our house has hardly any light because of the way it was built. When we move I want a sun room so all my plants can live happily and so I can prove I don't have a black thumb!

We don't have a sun room or any room with great lighting either. I used to take the cacti outside on the porch every day for some nice needed sun until a squirrel ate one of my succulants!! :barnie OMG I was SO mad. So that ended the cacti feildtrips and inside they really don't get the light they need. :( I need to come up with something for spring.

We are redoing the back deck so once it's done I'll be putting them out there when it's hotter... Hopefully nothing eats them!

My reptile room is pretty sunny so they're in front of that window right now. I'm going to be getting a couch for in there too soon so I can read in there. No dogs are allowed in there, only the cat.

How many reptiles do you have?

Will the dogs go after the reptiles?

@TwoCrows I had to pull another 5 eggs :barnie

Should I add some of mine in there? I have about 12 fertile eggs just waiting to be eaten or be put in the incubator.

I always have a problem with other people's eggs because they don't care for them the same way that I do.

The organic farm eggs only one of them was infertile and it was the Polish which I don't mind... but that free eggs that I got from the other person they weren't really sure how to store fertile eggs and they haven't even used their eggs for fertile eggs.

I've pulled so many of their eggs out. I think about 11 of them out of the 36. Mostly blood rings or infertility.

It's only day 7 and I fear none will make it besides mine and the organic farm eggs!

I personally don't like doing staggered hatches. Too much going on during lock down, UNLESS you have a hatcher and can move eggs out of the incubator and into the hatcher not disturbing the ones still in the incubator.

11 out of 36 eggs is still on for a good hatch rate, you will never get every set egg to hatch, not all eggs are fertile and blood rings do happen. I try to never open the incubator for the first 5 days because this is when blood rings happen...cold air and loss of even the smallest of heat will cause rings.
