I personally don't like doing staggered hatches. Too much going on during lock down, UNLESS you have a hatcher and can move eggs out of the incubator and into the hatcher not disturbing the ones still in the incubator.

11 out of 36 eggs is still on for a good hatch rate, you will never get every set egg to hatch, not all eggs are fertile and blood rings do happen. I try to never open the incubator for the first 5 days because this is when blood rings happen...cold air and loss of even the smallest of heat will cause rings.

I've had usually only 1 or 2 eggs not make it down to lockdown out of mine. I guess I have high expectations

So many factors effect hatches from the annual seasons, humidity level in the house, the condition of the birds that laid the eggs, etc... Sometimes you get great hatches, other times not so much.

Anyone ever talk to someone and feel like they are talking to a wall because every time you try to talk to that person instead of reading or listening to what you are saying, they are just looking for a chance to respond...

Well my birds must be healthy then because their eggs have always hatched the way I want them too. I don't want to brag, but I'd take my eggs over anyone's any day.

I've had two incidences today where I just don't even want to continue the conversation. It's frustrating and honestly I feel like no one listens to me, ever. Everyone is just so into trying to prove me wrong instead of just listening to what I say.

Been there and it happens frequently to me too. There isn't much you can do but leave your take on the subject and let the OP decide, even if they choose to listen to the what seems to be mis or poor information. Drives me batty sometimes!

I am constantly cleaning around here. Every time the hubby even walks through here, its like he leaves a tornado in his wake.
