Baby STOOD UP!!!! She isn't walking really, but she totally stood on both feet, up above the ground!
YEA for Baby!!!!!! Great to hear Marty.....
agree on waiting till roads are safe to take your baby out
WAY TO GO BABY!!!!e
Iian I totally agree on the safety on the roads. Unless it is an emerency it is never worth risking yourself and the precious cargo!!
This storm is moving slowly, so it may be Friday before we can get there. But the vet's office is really cool about it, my vet will be there all week, and another day or two is no biggie for Spirit. He is slowly adjusting to the 1st set of pins being removed, so perhaps he needed the extra time before more support is taken away.
I'd like to see a new pic of Spirits leg, if you have one. How is Iain???
It's so good to hear about Baby standing! I have been following their progress...I read a lot and post a little
All kinds of Great news going on here, Baby standing, Spirit make slow steady progress... T having a great Christmas with hubs... I am blessed.
I took new pics of Spirit this morning. Prepare for picture overload!
First is a close up of the leg. It is hard to see the upper rod as his feathers are filling back in nicely, but it is the same as the lower rod with 5 pins instead of 3.
Next is a sequence showing him walk to me without using his wings. He still hasn't quite figured out how to use the new leg.
I think he still finds it easier to walk using his wings, but there is not enough room inside for full wing span.
Our vet appointment got bumped back to tomorrow as this winter storm is taking its time passing us, but I look forward to getting that upper rod removed completely!
