How is everyone? Seems like I've discovered a lot of new nooks at BYC lately, but haven't been here as much. (Did you know a BYCer made their own pizza/bread wood fired oven, and posted step by step pics and directions? Can you say summer project? LOL)

I will try to get pics of the birds today. Well, Lucky and Baby anyway. The rest are little mud balls from the recent rains. Its a good thing some geese have knobs, some have curly feathers, and some are big, or else I couldn't tell them apart right now! It looks to me like they spend their time digging like ducks in the little collected pools in the pens. I wonder if they are digging for tasty nibbles, or trying to make a new "pool" addition.

Right now I don't like mother nature. It is 36F and raining. But the ground is frozen so the rain is coming in the basement!!! I have spent 5 hours trying to keep up on the water. Wet vacs and mopping SUCKS!!!!! I wish it was snowing instead of raining. They are calling for sleet,rain, and snow tonite. We have to pull up the carpet and through it away as a funky smell is coming from it.

Well on a better note, I saw my last pair of geese that has not seemed to be in breeding mode, well I saw them do the funky monkey this morning and not just once but three times with in an hour. Now I have to make another pen for those two. I might move the trio to the bigger pen and move the cockerls to a different pen so I can pen the geese up. Now I know who is the females and who are the ganders for sure.

Psue I live in Troy MO. Today It got up to 60 degrees right now it is 55 degrees. But that will soon change again after Sunday the temps will be going down again.
Yuck. Hate having to carry buckets of water when the hose freezes up.

I have sent off for those hoses that shrinks back up after you turn the water off. Bought 2 - 75' hoses. We shall see if it is easier to get the water out and roll them up and bring them inside.
