Spirit - the amazing grey dewlap toulouse gander!

x 2.5. In some other countries, when you sue somebody, the loser pays all the legal fees for both parties. My lawyer told me about that today, and how if the US was the same, fewer people would waste needless monthes and years in litigation. Folks would think about it first. The city is blowing me off becasue they can. I have no recourse to get the money back it costs to take them to court.

Marty I am glad about your goose. The city should have to pay to remove the pavement at their cost. They just can't pave someones land and say opps sorry now its your problem. They should have to pay your attorney's fee too. Then maybe they would think before they waste taxpayers money!!!:he

Iian I can't wait to here about Spirit and the great succses he has been.

Hey Kim!

Good to see you here. Ready for breeding season and doing a hatch along? Do you have anything cooking in your bator now?

I am ready for breeding season and would LOVE to hatch along. Well, I have 10 swedish flower chooks hatched out 12/23 cause nothin says "Merry Christmas" like a bunch of peeps, right??

Did Spirit have a checkup today??

You guys have been chatty today. It has been a long and difficult day and while I would normally have a lot to say about the comments made regarding attorneys and our legal system (seeing that I am a trial lawyer), I will refrain, except to say Great News that the dog owners have been formally charged!

Bonnie had another seizure today and our vet is adding prednisone to the pheno. It is basically our last shot to help her because we are all convinced she has a large inoperable brain tumor and... Well, let's face it... She is a 13yo white boxer.

In Spirit news, we went to the vet this afternoon. X-rays on foot look good so we removed the last of the hardware. He had gotten a touch of frostbite on outer toe of deformed leg last month which when healing, gets tingly and annoying, so spirit chewed it and made it worse. While it does not bother him now, vet says we are to give hydro therapy for 5 minutes 2x per day for next week until holes in leg heal, then swim therapy. If it does not get better after 2 weeks, he wants us to return.

At this point, Spirit has to learn how to adjust walking with his new leg and foot and important to build muscle, which will take time, but all in all we believe we have succeeded in giving Spirit a long, healthy life with pretty decent mobility.

Iian I amso glad that Spirit's journey is coming to and end soon. Then we can all her of his new journey as a normal gander and starting his own family. Yipee for Spirit!!!

Thanks!! :D

Kim, By the way, got any pics of your ducks? I'd love to see them. Hoping to get our hatch along going next month!

Janet, I am so glad to hear that Spirit is doing so well! He's off to the races now, there's no holding him back!! On the other hand, I am so sorry to hear about your dog. I know how hard it is to love a good dog for so many years and then have to face losing them. Making the decision to put them down is so hard. I know you don't want to. You will know when the time is right. I believe that animals (especially dogs) have souls and we will see them again someday. I will be thinking of you and praying for all of you.
