Spirit - the amazing grey dewlap toulouse gander!

I'm glad all is well in the land of goosie.

Mine have been oiut the last few nights, but I only let them stay out if its going to be 26* or higher with a warmish day. Tonight in the teens, so back to the barn. I think baby girl really like their visits. I'm noticed she's got one leg under her now, but continues to try to knee walk with the other. Also, on the knee walking side, her wing elbow joint is getting bunged up a bit from her using it like a crutch. Poor girl.

nice Pictures J.. glad you have snow and not me.
If the weather breaks in a couple days I'll try to get new pictures.

Poor baby.. I hope she continues to improve Marty.

Paulla, thanks! I'd love to see new pics!

Marty, glad Baby is continuing to fight the good fight. I totally understand the bashing their wings take. Poor Spirit's right wing is pretty hammered from using it to stand/walk. I can't wait until I can take him outside so he has the space to really stretch those wings and attempt walking more than a few feet.

Spirit's mobility continues to improve daily. His foot is looking a lot better, too. I hope to move him back outside in the next few weeks, once it starts to get a bit warmer here. Thanks for asking Lydia and Triplell.

How's things with your geese?

All I can say is I love my geese more and more each day, they just seem to fill my life with joy that nothing material can give. Looking forward to spring when I can be outside more with them and the rest of my flock.

I know Spirit will be happy to be outside with his buds once the weather warms..

I am so happy you got Missy. She is simply adorable and completes your little family. Spring is just around the corner.

Things here just continue to be. The other night when it was -30F 9 of the goose eggs in the nest froze solid. The others are still good. The few that were developing were froze. The other two pens started to lay eggs but stopped totally. I am hoping they resume in the spring or at least in March. Not sure what I'm gonna do yet wether I am gonna let them hatch some out or me. Hmmmmmmmm. Ohwell I have time yet I think.

Iian I am so glad to see /hear Spirit is doing so good.

Sorry to hear about the eggs freezing. I don't know how ya'll live in such extreme temps. I probably be wanting to bring everyone of my flock inside. Boy that would be a hoot.
