Splay leg help

I'm glad to hear they're doing better. I had a new chick with splayed legs. I used a band-aid to splint her little legs. She was so tiny that I had to cut it in half, longways, to make it fit, but the length was perfect. It folded right over itself and stuck. In a baby that young, it only took two days (and a proper flooring so she could grip.) Yours may take a little longer, but if it's truly splayed legs, the splints should take care of the problem. In the future, try not to use newspaper. It gets slippery when it's wet, and even dry, there's no traction. I cut non-skid rug liners to fit inside my incubator. It's inexpensive and washable. In the brooder, I still use newspaper as padding to absorb wet messes, but cover it with paper towels, so no one slips. Once they graduate to shavings, the newspaper goes away. So far, that seems to be working well.
Good Luck!
