That's a decent flock! All layers?

Ok, my 15 chicks ship out today from MPC!!
Cross your fingers for me!!
I am going to the local post office today with a flyer, that has my number,, and all the info they need to be on the lookout!! I plan on talking to the postmaster, and anyone else that seems to care.
I am in Texas, and chicks ship from OHio.
My husband says my flyer will just piss them off. It has a picture of the special shipping box that chicks come in, and in red letters that the chicks will die if they sit there for too long, what day they should(ha!) arrive, etc..I also put my name and number in case there is a mess up on the label.
Frankly I don't care if I piss them off, as long as I get those chicks ASAP!!!

Definitely not overreacting. My probuct package came delivered to the house completely trashed the other day so I'm going to ream into them today and let them know that if they think they aren't fit to handle live chicks I will send my package elsewhere

Hi All. I don't know how I missed this post as I have been obsessively reading everything on here. I'm going to be ordering my first chicks soon. So fun. I'm working on my coop and this is what we have so far. I'm think f about 6 to 8 chicks. Buff orpingtons, black autstralorp, Easter egged, and maybe barred rock or Wyandotte or spangled Sussex. Not entirely sure yet. My coop is 4x8 not including the outside nesting boxes and my run is 8x14. Building the coop has been interesting to say the least. I have a thread documenting the process so far including the costs. Here's a picture of the progress
