Spring Granny Square Swap

Good morning everyone,

It's still windy here but sunny and not too cold. Hope everyone else has a good day. I have sent a PM to everyone on the list. I am waiting on five answers. I've received prompt replies so far so I should have a total count soon. We still have a while yet to get our squares done and just think I get to see them all together first. Na na na na na! It's like being a kid again waiting for Santa Claus.

It was windy here yesterday, but sunny and not too, too cold. Today is absolutely gorgeous!!! The sun is shinning and it warmed to the 60's. Wish I could have been home all day to enjoy it, but trying to now, b/c I think we are getting rain the next couple of days. The chickens are out of chicken jail and having a blast!

Oh it is very exciting when the swap packages start to tricklin' in. Enjoy your hostess perks.

I have at least seven new inches of snow on the ground thanks to yesterday to go with what we already had. Cloudy all day today and the forcast says "starting Friday afternoon till Saturday evening 4-8 MORE inches of snow. I'll never get my chicks out into the pen at this rate! But on a good note its easy to see them when they are in the house...but boy are they causing dust in DH work room

Doesn't sound like global warming is effecting Michigan at all. We had a horrible, long cold winter last yr, but it's been unusually mild this yr. It's fun to have those dusty critters in the house to play with. All this baby chick talk is making wants some.

Ha ha ha! It's only a matter of time before you give in! You know you can't hold out forever.

This year the chick bug hit me early. I have 5 half grown EEs and OEs out in the new coop + 15- 5 week olds in one brooder which are mostly Ameraucanas. Then the WCB Polish babies which are almost 4 weeks old are in another brooder. And please don't ask how many are in the bator right now...

I know!!! I do have baby chick fever this year. My coop is turning into the retirement home. LOL!!! I only picked up a few babies & the 3 ducks last spring. Thank goodness or I'd not be getting very many eggs. Yea, it's time to replenish Smitty's Farm flock. Do you have your brooders inside? I think I have hatch fever too. I didn't hatch a zilch last yr.

Yep the brooders are all inside, in the "chick's room". Not sure I completely embraced the "empty nester" stage of life like I was supposed to. hahahahaha
