Spring Granny Square Swap

I'm here, too. I'm going to miss you all when we've finished.
We aren't going anywhere. You know we'll all be posting here what we make w/ our squares or chatting about the next swap or we'll chat on the crochet chat thread.

Whoo Hoo! I had a mailbox full today. I received Sunny's, smittysfarm and canesisters. Ooooh! so pretty. All we have left is Writers and students and roccomanchickens. I haven't heard from the others and if I don't then as soon as I receive the squares from Writer and Roccomanchickens I can start having fun sorting them. I hope I don't have company in the meantime as I have all the boxes on the bed in the spare bedroom.

Yes... it is very exciting! Can't wait to get my hands on some of those squares and see all the awesomeness we have created!

I have an online friend who's sister is having surgery and she asked for donations of some pig themed squares. I've made a few to send...

And of course, you must have the other side... of the pig that is!

I've done 3 sets for her... dark pig above, light pink and black pig and have done the decorative edging differently on each one.

Also started squares for a "Red Hat" swap that I have joined. We are using the Cherry Red and Amethyst Red Heart yarn, any pattern... this is a new pattern I just got and had to try it with these colors...

I forever have several WIP at a time. Going to meet some local ladies for "coffee over yarn" at Starbucks this afternoon... probably get more ideas on things to crochet... as if I need more at the moment!

Thank you sooooo much for sharing!!!!!

I'm working on a blanket for my graduating DD. I'm embarrassed to admit that I started it 2 yrs ago. I keep setting it down to work on other projects. She picked out the yarn. It's cotton Sugar n Cream (Vintage Twist) No pattern, just using H hook and Half Double Crochet stitch.

Oh my gosh Kat!!! Those are sooooo adorable! I love them!!! Coffee and yarn sounds like a great time. Have fun!

We need pics of the Afghan when it's done! No wonder it's taking so long. Sugar n Cream is not a thick yarn. I can't wait to see what a blanket in that color and brand looks like. It will be amazing I bet!

Love the piggy squares...where did you get the pattern if I might ask? I'd like to make my friend something like those. She has a hog farm

I have a book that is Color-Bright Creatures - Designs by Anne Halliday by Leisure Arts that is hexagons of (dog, lion, turtle, frog, bird, bear, dog, bird and pig) that I modified to be a square as was requested for a donation. I have really enjoyed making these. They came out cute. :)

I love the pig pattern. How bright and beautiful. I also love that flower pattern. I'd love a copy of that. The red just pops. Good job Alethea

What? I haven't done anything. I'm just working on squares so I'm ready to make an afghan when the swap squares arrive.
