Spring Molt?

I am on my 3rd set of chickens and it looks like this batch is molting, though their egg production is still strong. My other two batches did a fall molt. Please tell me that a spring molt can be normal. Forgot to add. They're almost a year old and they didn't really molt in the fall.

Sure sounds like you are simply getting a late molt.

Since they won't molt their first year, when that first year ends often triggers a molt, especially if the weather is changeable (sunny then a spell of dark rainy).

Sounds like they are doing a soft molt which is a lot of little feathers around but laying seems pretty good.

Just to be double sure, check them for lice/mites, but it sure sounds like a end of year molt to me.
