I've never been this scared and reluctant to set eggs. This isn't my first (second or third) hatch. It's not even my first (second or third) hatch this year. They're just staring at me.


Current fear: baby sitter will adjust the thermostat in the house (she wears sweatshirts in summertime) and fry the eggs.

Ohhhh geeezzz camping... Can I have your list of eggs to add to the membership article please.

As long as there aren't any big chunks of mud and poo stuck to it you can set it as is. The link I gave above has some great info in it if you choose to wash it.

You can also dip it in vinegar and warm water and then let air dry. The vinegar will kill the bacteria either by the pH or the drying (rapid evaporation = cooling at a rate that bacteria can't survive. That is how alcohol works.)
