"Springing in the Chicks" 2016 April Hatch-a-Long Hosted by Mike & Sally

Now it moved and i can sew a little better. It looks like it will detach in a few more walks

Congrats! My kids were super excited to see chicks born too!!! Hope this one is okay. It was so hard for us to see inside that bator. We had one that just needed the naval to dry out I guess because by the time we took it out it was completely normal. I guess it was 13 hours in the incubator after it was born. I didn't open my incubator and we just watched the whole thing. It can be hard to not open it and wait, especially for my kids!!!! But we made it.
Best luck!!!!! Can't wait to see updates!

Too cute!

Cute! Congrats.

Thank you both! I'm having so much fun! Oops time to check the bator again! I hear lots of peeping!

I think I would just leave it. Sometime this process needs to finish a bit after they hatch. It is good that it is not bloody. It will probably dry and drop off. Lots of times they come out of the shell attached by a tiny bit.

FINALLY!!!!!! I caught up.
Update Foal doing fine. He had a very bad day 3 days ago. He wouldn't eat. Blind staggers, very weak. I decided to give he another selenium/ vitamin shot. Within 2 hours he was nicker at me Hungry again. he been do good ever since.
My hatch is almost over today . Chicks can go in brooder today. RRs, N/Brahma crosses, Amerucanas, clbs, and Blue maran/ N/N. I think their ready to get out they are all staring at me...
I have 4 trays of eggs in the incubator. One group set 3 21 Due 4-11, the other 3-28 Due 4-17. will set more today. Have a open shelve in the Dickie. Set all the eggs. probaby Amerucana, clbs, N/N crosses, a few white marans..
Time to feed llf ( Lenas Last foal) haven't named him yet. I need to get him a goat friend or something...
Happy Hatching

So glad the goal is doing better!
Good luck on your hatch!

Locked down 8 turkey eggs this morning.

6 of the 8 looking good.

I must have marked date I set wrong as I think some had already pipped internally.

So I'm hoping that the lack of higher humidity for a couple of days doesn't impact the hatch too bad.

Congrats to all that have hatched.
