The chick is a gold Pavlovskaya. This one hatched without leg feathers but they normally have beards crests and leg feathers.
That is really neat!

What happened Chicken Hawk?Ok,well I won't have a incubator with duck eggs now.![]()
Yes good thing.
So why did you have a sad face, that is a good thing sn't it?Well,I had six but four where cracked I don't see.but two where not so I have them under a bantam that just went broody
Very. Obvious. They are all curled on entrance to the world but straighten out as they dry and get up on their feet. What kind of incubator do you have? I bought the shelf liner at Walmart. The rubbery kind with the holes in it. You need to have it where they hatch out. Gives them traction. It is cheap and can be washed and reused. I have in the bottom of my brooder for a few days while they get good on their feet.
I'm pretty sure we have some around the house. If not, we can pick some up next time we go into town. Don't enter lockdown until next Monday.I get that shelf liner at the dollar store. Really dirty hatches, I throw it away.
For me it's obvious because the chicks walk on the top of their feet basically and they stumble around. They aren't running around like the other chicks.
