I had one egg hatch last night, one egg this morning. Now I have 3 pipped, wired that they are so far apart. Some have nothing.
don't know if you used a bator or a broody but I have had em take 3-4 days to hatch, but found cooler spots in the bator so that would explain it

I have nine ducks, one I assisted to show another way to tell when a chick/duck is ready to come out.

ONE GOOSE is out!! has spraddle leg though, will show legs bandaged in a bit

Awesome!

Have a hen sitting on 24 eggs that should be hatching within next week, we aren't sure when she finally started to sit on them
putting 47 in the incubator this afternoon
Good luck!

Eggs are set.

Alright Chicken Hawk!

I Finally got an incubator after I had received numerous calls for chicks. So I set up my first hatch. 25 EE's, 4 silkies, 2 ducks and 2 geece eggs one of which is a double yolker. On Day 4 of candling i saw a blood ring on one of the duck eggs so lost that one...the rest are veining up nicely with a couple of ??'s. chickens are due 4/21 and waterfowl on 4/28.

Anna...just starting my hatching addiction
You're well on your to an addiction nice new hobby.

Quote: I've got one in the bator right now! 4.5 days in.

Congratulations!

The LG was at 100.1 all morning, I didn't touch it, then I come back and it says 105! Oh man this is frustrating. It looks like several of the eggs may have blood rings.
Oh, no. Sorry

They are evil as soon as you stop looking at them Billie, luckily will have chicks from under the hen

Quote: I'm glad you have a few viable ones and the Seramas are doing well!

a bit nervous I'm not out at the farm friend is keeping an eye on the hen make sure she don't try to kill the chicks when they hatch as it's her first time brooding, but she was one that took in chicks at 8 weeks old and raised them for 3 weeks so heres hoping. Our main flock is barely a year old
I hope she does fine.

I'm in I have 35+ eggs hatching today. Don't know if they count. Also have 42 in the other incubator set to hatch in 14 days. And will be setting another full egg turner of eggs after this hatch today.
Welcome!

We are only allowing one to brood at a time, got 4 or 5 more hens waiting their turn lol so outta be an interesting spring here
How do you stop them?

I'm eggcited
I am too Chicken Hawk!

We keep taking their eggs from em but not sure how long that is gonna help, the roosters are starting to get scared of that many lol. one has decided the laying box will suffice seems how the brooding box is busy
