I never thought I would get this excited about something. It's like I'm a little kid at Christmas. Three of my grandkids are stying with us tonight. My (almost) 7 yo grandson has been coming over to write down temp and RH numbers each day. Up to now he's said that science (this is his science project) is "boring." But now that we have some pips and some activity, he's more excited about it. Grandpa's hearing is not so good, but Justice's hearing is excellent and he says we have peeping. First time in a long time he was interested in something besides a video game.
Aww so cute! Yes I'd suggest leaving it alone, it should fall off. I've had this happen with my chicks before, if it still hasn't fallen off when you take everyone out of the incubator just take it off, it should come off fine.![]()
Congratulations! It is all so exciting!!!! And, your first is really exciting, but I have to tell you that even after hatching several incubators full, it is still just as special! Watching them fluff up is pretty special too. Enjoy!
Welcome and what a pretty chicken! Can i join???? Please, please, oh please!![]()

I deleted the pix for space, but I loved them. I had a hen go broody last year and didn't even realize what she was doing until I went out there and heard chirping. She was not a very good momma, though. I took the chicks and put them in my brooder. Your flock sounds very interesting!
