Does anyone else have any experience with this? I bolded the important parts if you don't want to read all the words. I did get one response that I saw (sorry if I missed one) and it was helpful but thought maybe others would have insight. Thanks!
Hello y'all! Got olive eggers, easter eggers, wyandottes, and dominiques all in the incubator! The big day is April thirtieth! Also got some wellies and sultans coming in May second! So excited! Love my girls!
It's in regards to chicken eggs though. If you click on the PDF button you can read the entire 30 page paper written on it............I didn't read all of it. http://jeb.biologists.org/content/9/1/15.short
OH MY GOODNESS! Chicks everywhere! Congrats everyone on their peepers (I didn't see any quackers, honkers, or screechers (that would be peefowl and goats; I have no idea what sound and emu makes) but congrats if there are some of those too).
Just to join the convos I have missed:
- It is gloomy is Texas today.
- I don't have a basement either. I incubate on a L shaped section of counter top in my kitchen. It is a constant temp and we walk past the eggs constantly for viewing.
- I am on day 10 of 28... so still waiting.
- I can't wait to hear with your kiddos in class thought of the hatching. EXCITING!
- Glad the grandson became more interested in the hatch.
Quote: are you sure your not seeing white chicks vs dark chicks? and are you sure you dont have cold and hot spots in the bator? you have calbrated thermos / hygros?
you have a fan running at those temps?
you are early for duck eggs, I would let them in if they dont stink and recandle in a few days
