Spur gash

My 8 Months old CCX received a nasty gash from our rooster on her right flank. Deep and about 3 inches long.
Vet stapled and gave antibiotic shot on Monday, but she's begging to go back to the flock already and I'm not sure if it would be ok.
The wound is healing well, all redness and swelling is gone. She's getting fiesty and running loose in the living room during the day as she refuses to stay in the bed I made her.
Vet doesn't open until Monday, would it be ok to cover Staples and let her out for an hour or so with the others?
Advice, please.

If you put a saddle on her (thick but not scratchy) she'll be okay to free-range with supervision.

You just need to be sure that it can't be pecked by another bird and reopened. Or re-injured by the roo. If you have not already done so I would trim his spurs to lessen the chance that he hurts another one.
