squatting pullet!

Today when I went to pet my usually shy 6 month old pullet she started squatting for me and when I petted her tail she thought she was getting mated. She has not laid yet and I know this is a sign of sexual maturity. But I don't know exactly how long does it mean before eggs? Weeks? Days? After squatting Exactly how long before the eggs come? How long was it for you after your pullet started to squat? I am so excited I know this means soon just how soon exactly?

I have read a few times that it's the surest sign and you should expect an egg within a few days. Hope it goes that way for you!
