Hello everyone, Wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I am Stacey and I live in the Florida Panhandle. I currently have 1 rooster and 2 hens, they are Blue Laced Red Wyandotte’s. Plan to add some French Copper Black Marans, and possibly some Buff Brahma. I am currently build by coops and the plan is to have 3 or 4 4x8 elevated coops with 12 to 16ft long runs. Their pens will be next to a large fenced in garden that they will have run of when I do not have plants growing. The whole area will have netting over the top to help prevent loss to predators. Any suggestions and other info shared would be great.


I am new to keeping chickens but I grew up around them. Love the Back To Eden concept for gardening so I decided to get chickens to help with that and my fruit trees. Not to mention not a bad deal that you get eggs too.
