Standard size hen laying bantam sized egg!

I have a Naked Neck female that hatched on December 24, 2014. She laid her first egg on May 22, 2015. I am posting a picture of her next to her hatch mate, a standard cochin, for size comparison. I am also posting a picture of an easter egger egg, her egg, and a quarter for size comparison.


Her eggs have all been this same size. She has laid about 7 so far. Will they get bigger as she matures? I thought she was a little young to start laying but maybe not! Any thoughts, comments, etc. is appreciated!

This is very much normal for a bird who is just beginning to lay. Yes, her eggs will become larger. She is not abnormally young to begin production.

Thank you very much for your reply! I have older hens but have never had one lay small eggs like this! I will just relax and let her (Eunice) do her thing!
