Well I don't watch the News.lol. So I have no comments or experience on other news not that it even interests me either

I like the news. :p Finance and politics are very interesting. The rest of it can get kind of tedious sometimes, but I think it's good to stay informed nonetheless.

And news is good for learning other languages, lol. There's this radio show in my city that does German current events in German every week, and it's excellent for ensuring my vocabulary doesn't slide back into the ridiculously poor now I've finished school and usually can't be bothered practising my German anymore. :p

Adelaide

Yes, similar to Perth when it comes to the fires, you guys have your hills as well.

The delightful explosion in my avatar is from the new year fireworks on the pier. :p We go to see those every year. They never seem to get any better, lol.

It's like that, but generally frowned upon. Bumping can get one in trouble.

Good luck with your breeding efforts. Most people only believe there is one way to do things, not too many are open to multiple means to an end in terms of animal care or breeding. So it's something you have to get used to, or resigned to. Chances are, over time, you'll end up the same, lol. Blue splash leghorns would probably be popular if you could develop them.

Quote: Do you mean what breeds do I keep or would love to? Eh, you know me by now... Mongrels all the way. I have considered trying to do my bit to help conserve rare breeds but sounds like it's a sort of painful and often fruitless endeavor!

Quote: Our nose isn't really so clean, we're just small players and often ignored or objectified, and who can blame anyone for doing that? We actually caught fire twice last year in a big way and both times it was military exercises at fault. It's funny though how I find more important Aussie news on foreign sites than home ones.

Yeah, isn't it AMAZING how the asylum seeker boats always magically capsize on the shores and kill most onboard, or even all?

My not-so-popular stance on the matter is that we actually do have the resources and most of the infrastructure needed, what we lack is the organization and the humanity to accept them. We're mismanaging things terribly in so many areas. Bureaucracy, for the lose! But I know this is one of the most unpopular opinions ever so don't mind me.

Oh, well I shan't be doing any 'bumping' anytime soon then.
Thanks, I do hope I don't turn into them.lol.
I'm thinking the same, if I can get a nice amount of blue in with the white then I might have something.

It's mostly about arguments in parliament over stopping asylum seeker boats (Tony Abbot has been pretty successful at that

Yeah that's right, it takes so many years to process people, and they find it surprising when the refugees aren't happy stuck on some little island in the middle of the ocean.
No, I think that's a good opinion to have. At least, it's a nice one.

lol, cheers mate, makes a nice change to not get my head ripped off for voicing that opinion. Heavily unpopular. :p

@cluckcluckluke

I do reckon you'd have a market for them if you did that, but purebred breeders would have your guts for garters. You can't win by everyone's rules, but breaking some rules and hurting some feelings is unfortunately a sign you're on the right track in pretty much any field of endeavor. Progress is painful. If it doesn't hurt, you're not achieving anything! lol... Anyway, you get what I mean, I hope.
