Steamed Eggs

Dunno if anyone else has one of these or not.

They are great for hard and soft boiled, as well as poached.

You can do up to 8 hard and soft and 4 poached in the little pan that comes with it.

I got this one some years back from Fingerhut but I'm sure there are still out there somewhere.

PS--fresh eggs peel really easy when they are steamed for some reason

Okay thats weird. I was just looking on the Wal-mart website yesterday and saw these. I was going to ask here if anyones ever tried it. Thanks for the info.

I was thinking about getting one of these for the people we plan to give eggs too - like my in-laws and make a Christmas gift basket with our fresh eggs, the egg cooker, egg cups, gourmet coffee, homemade jam, etc - everything for a lovely breakfast for two as one of their gifts this year.

I've seen these, but didn't know that when using, you can peel the fresh ones easier! It would be worth a try just for that benefit, as my hubby loves deviled eggs! Thanks, folks!

WOW! I've never seen one of those. We use to eat a lot of poached eggs and I have a poached egg pan, but I've never seen one of those. very interesting! Thanks for sharing!

I bought the exact same "chicken" after your recommendation. She is currently "hatching" out my lunch in the breakroom. We only have a little kitchen area here at work (a microwave,toaster, and small coffeepot all jammed in a corner by the sink)

Now we're adding Henrietta to our kitchen mix.

So how long do you steam an egg for hard, and for soft?
Is it the same as boiling? I bet you could steam them in a steamed pot, and they would still let go of the shells good.
