How is your CL with the hurt eye doing?

She's recovering, her eye is healing albeit slowly. It's really hard to keep an eye on her and treat her because the chickens are up at the old house and we are living at the new house. It's a 40 min drive one way. Going to attempt to move the coops again tomorrow evening. Really wish we had a garage or shed here I could keep her in. We did buy a small shed but it's jam packed with tools and the brooder shelf (which broke as we were moving it- ugh one more project on the list!).

Went in to a small local thrift store yesterday and they had the most amazing figurines- roosters, hens, all kinds of cool things. Almost wanted to bring one home! They had an amazing glazed rooster, he must have stood 10 inches tall. But then I remembered all the little fingers around my house and decided to keep my $30 in my pocket.... But I did see a really cute frog bathroom set (soap dish, toothbrush holder, etc) that I may go back for to put in the kids' bathroom.

The shopkeeper lady there was super nice, my 2yo daughter saw something bright yellow in a stuffed animal bin and started shouting, "A duck! A duck!" When we pulled it out it was a stuffed Big Bird. She carried it all over the store saying "A duck!" The woman was so tickled with her she let her keep it. So now she sleeps with Duck every night.

That's sweet Rinda. What a kind gesture. Hoping you get your flock home soon!

Michael left today to go boating in Monterey Bay. Tucker couldn't believe he left without him. He has been sitting here all day looking out the window for his papa. Poor sweet thing. I don't play rough enough! He likes to fight.

Kelly wow, where on earth did your grandma find such treasures?

I have no idea. My grandmother traveled extensively when I was a child and her house is filled with things she bought on her trips.

Not the same chicken at the Consignment shop Kathy. And, it was a teapot. And not cute.
