Stella's Social Club

My dad Richard at the Michigan Chickenstock - which he came to just out of curiosity, because he loves people and wanted to see what chicken keepers are all about.

Aw sweet. Thoughts go out to you and crazyhen both. What a hard thing to go through. Peace.

What a sweet picture! He looks like a special guy.

My FIL's tests came back finally. He has both stage 3 lung cancer and leukemia, so add that to his COPD at 82 and.....
Oh so sorry Cyn.

It is what it is, I guess.

And my winter curse continues. I have now 5 of my 10 D'Anvers broody. Carly went over the edge. Every nest is occupied by a broody. At least, the "nursery coop" will be full of chicksters, who, being all LF, will outgrow their moms by 8 weeks of age.

At least they will have feathers at 8 weeks! Its very cute to see hens propped up 6 inches on the back of a whole bunch of baby roosters.

I am so sorry. I am sitting on edge with Mom until I see her Dr. too. He will not tell us anything though until after her surgery I am sure. We see the surgeon on the 18th so it will be after then.
Knowing is terrible and not knowing too.
