Cape gooseberries will grow wild in the mtns of NC. I planted some one yr and they come up ever since. I was not that fond of them. You can start with seed in the spring. They grow about 1 1/2 ft tall. You can not eat them until they fall from the bush. Otherwise they can make you sick. They must be fully ripe. They remind me of a gooseberry but not as sweet.umm yummy![]()
Cyn. and all we are staying in today and hoping the power stays on too. We have freezing rain and sleet. Its 30 degrees. Thankfully we also have a nice wood heater in case the electric goes off.( we use the heater every day because its such a nice warm heat.) Stay safe and warm everyone
