Great finds, Mary!
Congrats on the new egg layers, too!

I am finally getting some eggs. Only a couple dozen a day, but it is picking up. I suppose my 2 Wheaten Ameraucanas will go broody any day. They do so about 3 times before fall. I have an empty "rabbit hutch like" mini coop. I purposely left the door open on it, and sure enough - one of the girls started laying in there. Maybe I will just move her and her sister in there with a boyfriend for a little while.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

We made it to around 60 degrees today. I really enjoy that! Looking forward to spring!

Mary those are great finds! Now. You are a true artist, and thats a fact !

Speckled hen he is a true burden, you are right, get your mother there with you. The best place for her.

I have one little hen I am going to have to give her own place to, she is just too sweet and non aggresive to be with others so I am going to move her and her hatch mate rooster to their own pen, along with a couple other pullets, the little one I call 'Sweets' because she is loves to be held and talked too, whenever I open the pen door she is right there, ready to jump out or just to sit on my hand when I bring her out. She is a keeper just on temperament !

She is definately a pet but her eggs will for sure be incubated if she doesnt brood this year. I have 2 others from Marynotafarm that I am sure want to brood so they shall have their chance to.

I have at least two other roosters that I want to rehome with starter flocks rather then go to the freezer. Just too nice not to have their own flocks. So if anyone here knows of anyone in MI who wants a start have them contact me.

Hey Everybody!

Love those eggs Laura!

Hi Kathy! Love the broody bait idea! Are you paying attention Kelly?

Blessings to all going through tough times. Sounds like someone needs a one-way ticket to "Poor, Poor, Pitiful MeVille!"

Hey Jake thanks for the compliment. I have become the junkstore diva here lately.

I got the garage shelving transformed yesterday and today I'll do the table!

I was out feeding my animals this morning when I noticed one of my project girls had a really big comb and wattles. Then I noticed the saddle feathers! Duh.

Gee, I remember this happening to me before.

Mary, I love the corner cabinet and the paint treatment you decided on for it.

My Belgian D'Anver hens have chicks this morning. All five eggs shared by Mina and Penny hatched out of my LF flock. Maura and Sissy have just over a week to go and Carly has two weeks.

Gratuitous chick pics. Note the chunky blue chick out of my Blue Rock hen. Was so happy to see that blue one, but it's probably male. Did someone not get the memo that this is the Year of the Pullet?????
