Did she change colors at all? She is just a gorgeous bird!
She doesn't appear to be much different. The lighting on the pic above was kinda weird since I took it between rain showers. I'll try and get a better pic.

Her mom, Anna, got much more mottled after her first molt last year, but this year, so far (she is still getting feathers in), she seems to be back to her original amount of mottling

My other original hen, Asta, looks darker after her molt but that could just be from her being lighter due to the natural "weathering" of the feathers from sunlight before the molt.

Here's my two survivors from Mary's eggs, 8 weeks old tomorrow. Thunder is the cockerel and Rain is the pullet. Love the gray streaks in Thunder's hackles, can't wait to see how he grows out, Rain is much more even colored. My daughter thinks her life revolves around the chickens, she has to hold them every time I get one out!

:( I hope not, I had a splash too that was definitely female but she died of unknown reasons about 2 weeks ago... When I posted pics of the three together I got several consensuses of one male one female on the blues. Their combs and wattles are very similar now but their hackles are very different, Thunder's are definitely rooish but I am HOPING that Rain's rounded hackle feathers mean she's still a girl... guess more waiting for me! I do have 3 more from Jordan's farms (two blue one black), not quite old enough to guess sex yet. So I'd better have at least one hen out of the 5!

Isbars? Correct? I have never had a hen with that big/red of a combs at 8 weeks, but I only have about six hens and a few roosters. I have not been around Isbars long. I hope I'm wrong...:/

We have had windy weather for a few days. Lost lots of leafs.
BUT, the weather has been so crazy here, I also have newly bloomed flowers, too!
It looks like fall in my back yard, and spring in the front! These pictures were taken the same day.
