Stella's Social Club

Quote: Me too. Mary has great decorator style. I like to learn from her.

Proud Grandma this morning!

Yay, Congrats Buddy!

Hi, all. I've been gone from the thread for awhile, but what??? Mary's moving again? I tried to find the post where it was explained but it eludes me. Did you get sick of the current neighbors' nasty antics? Personally, I prefer to be somewhere I can't see another house. I generally despise people near me, sorry to say. Getting to know the neighbors never ends well. They're all crazy or criminals everywhere we go, doesn't matter where.
It's here:

She already has rehomed the emu's. The donkeys have a home when she's ready. They may have an offer on their current house soon.

Her new house is about 5 minutes from me.

I did find it after continuing to search and I'm happy Mary will be much closer to you. Mary, you have my best wishes and prayers for a more simple and peaceful life. I'm hoping to change direction myself over the next couple of years.

My husband's response when I told him was..........."Great, now you'll be over there all the time."

It will be so much more convenient for Mary to come over and take pictures of my bees for me.

Cyn, I so totally agree with this! I used to move about every 5 years and the first thing I did at every prospective property was walk the perimeter and check out what was on the other side. If I couldn't see anything but countryside, it was a contender. I'd then check out the house.

Thanks Cyn, we'll be fine. I do move a lot. Fifteen years ago I was told I would die within months. I started living a bit spontaneously I guess, doing things I always dreamed of doing. Hobby farming and living in an old farmhouse have been checked off the list. It's time to settle into a smaller place and work on a few other things that need attention. The animals were my biggest worry but they will either stay here with new people to love them or move to new homes and new adventures.

I will miss this view from my bed though. just snapped this pic of the locust tree buzzing with bees.

NVM, I found it. I wish you all the best and COMPLETELY understand!

Well that hurt.

The Road Not Taken
BY ROBERT FROST
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
