Me too, I get so tired of gunshots and spinning wheels , shouting and cursing. Wish my place was quieter and motorcyclres without mufflers.

Well I hope the heat wave is short lived.

Today Woodland will be at 107 for the high. Tomorrow we drop back into the mid 90s and stay there or a bit lower until about July 10. Of course the forecast can change quickly. A week ago, today was supposed to be 89 for a high.

I did lose a hen yesterday. I have adjusted the mist system to run longer and will add more shade this weekend for that pen.

My husband put a hen down for me this morning. She was one of my older hens and best broody, Dusty. She was dying, could no longer stand, and was making that clicking sound. RIP sweet, beautiful girl.

My husband put a hen down for me this morning. She was one of my older hens and best broody, Dusty. She was dying, could no longer stand, and was making that clicking sound. RIP sweet, beautiful girl.

I'm so so sorry, Kelly. She was beautiful. I love my beautiful heritage line BR hens. I also have a Dusty, but she's my 7 year old Blue Orpington hen who is the last one I have that was with big Suede. I hate when they are so weak they can no longer stand, it breaks my heart.
