My 14 year old cat had to have a small cyst removed from her head last week, and we found out she has some problems with her kidneys

. She had lost weight since the last time she was weighed.

Kindey failure in cats is somewhat like prostate issues with men - if you live long enough, you are likely to have it. Some cats go downhill quickly, others may have a long and slow decline that is more manageable. Because my Dad's ancient cat lives with me also, they have been on a kidney diet for quite a while, which is probably why she has not been very symptomatic. Time for a little additional treatment.

It's been crazy busy around my house the last few weeks. Christmas, colds, house flooding, prepping for the cold weather this weekend (in the teens). But I've been keeping up with reading the posts! Just wanted to share this adorable picture I took this evening. His family has named him Oreo. He goes home at Valentine's Day! I'll share the other pics tomorrow after I get them edited.
