We got rain until around 3:00, then some snow. Not much, maybe 2 inches total. The wind is still howling.....single digit temps tonight!

BRRRR. We've been short sleeves here in Oklahoma until 2 days ago- then that wind came through. Today we leave to head to Jackson Hole, WY and then Pocatello, ID, this is going to be quite a shock for my kids LOL! Mild Okie winters have them spoiled- they have NO IDEA what cold really is!

My DH doesn't consider me to be downsizing unless the final remainder is a single digit !!

Never going to happen......I don't care if where I'm living is "NotAFarm".....25 or 30 over the winter is as low as it going to get!! We won't talk about how many are here spring through fall..........

25 - 30 is about what I have now. DW counted the day AFTER the ducks, BBB Turkeys, and an extra roo were processed. I had her add the processed birds to the total, and got "credit" for the downsize.

Mary and I compared notes yesterday. I actually have more chickens than she does.

Even with getting rid of 5 spare cockerels yesterday.

I actually might be underestimating, and that doesn't count chicks that aren't crowing yet.

If that isn't already an official component of chicken math I think it should be!
