Details are needed!
Mary and my DH have both been ranting about the number of people that take their dogs into stores. (and are obviously NOT service animals) I've seen them in Target, that now carries groceries, which by law is supposed to be not allowed. And Mary has seen them in Safeway.

My DH actually called Home Depot, who supposedly has a "no pets" policy. Their claim is that if the person says it's a service animal, ADA laws will not let them discriminate and they cannot prove it is not a service animal. So people are using the laws for legitimate people's needs and lying to suit their wants.

In our area, it's really getting ridiculous that you can't go anywhere without having a bunch of dogs in every store you go to. My DH about had a coronary when he saw a man pushing a dog stroller. I thought his head was going to burst.

Ahhhhhh, OK. I can tell you that any dog can be a service dog. All people have to do it have a DR write a letter that this person has Anxiety/Depression/etc. The dog has to take an aggression test (at least here) and have basic manners, and they are a licensed service dog.

I only know this because I gave a lady a Yorkie and she had him licensed and takes him everywhere.

I worked for a cruise line in customer service, and we had a guest bring their poodle on the ship. I was getting calls from the other guests complaining about the dog, and there was nothing we could do.

Quote: the Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland is my absolute favorite "experience" and for the exact same reason: fireflies, softly lapping water, music in the background. Even as an adult, I wanted to move into a little shack there.

Interestingly (to me, anyway) my friend and I were discussing this weekend what to do when I die. If they find me before the flock gets hungry....just got derailed hy that thought again...

Sorry...anyway, it's my belief the world doesn't need any more space used up by burials. Cremation and sneaky scattering on my property. That would help the roses and possibly even help make nice, hard eggshells.

Because, of course, when I'm gone, my property will become a shrine and someone will continue to take care of my flock.

DH has told me he wants to be cremated and have his ashes tossed into the sheep pen (which is already 3 feet taller than it was when he first got sheep at this house 35 years ago

I sautéed the cabbage in butter instead of boiling and it was awesome! New tricks at my age? Who knew?

Kelly, I became part of the problem today instead of part of the solution. I took Tucker to Home Depot!

In my defense, we never went into the store, just the garden department. Call Nick.

I was at HD one day with DH. We had Emma the Great Dane along in the car and it was a warm day. I stood on the sidewalk and looked at the plants out front while he was in the store. I chatted with people and let them pet her, since Emma always attracts lots of attention (140# harlequin). I spotted something about ten feet inside the garden entrance that I really wanted to take a look at. As we furtively (as much as possible with Emma) slipped through the giant door, an employee asked..................."Is that a service dog?".....I said "yes", it literally took me 30 seconds to look at the plant I wanted to see and I was back out the door.

Lowe's lets you bring dogs into the store, not that I ever do, but they let you.

My dogs are usually home, unless it's a dog related trip. Or a quick errand where they are safe in the car.

But I

my dogs.

Yikes Kathy, where is Kelly when you need her! That's a lot of chicken soup!

I wanted to share a pic of the pretty egg tray I picked up at the local consignment shop for $8.00. On the back it says it was made by Annie in 1982! I love egg trays that don't reek of Easter!

That is a very very pretty one, too!

Ooh, I like that! I sorta kinda collect 'em too. Don't have many, because I agree with you about "Eastery" looking egg trays.

Jason - haven't been up there in a long time. I can tell you that a Honda CRX will BARELY fit through that tree.

Dar - thoughts and prayers are with you. I had to read your post twice, thought YOU were wanting to quit.

Mary - you made mushrooms look beautiful. I love the 2nd picture.
You have to take a mule or a Model A I think
