I am one year behind Kathy. My fourth year on BYC is next month. I was reading for 8 months prior to that but waiting to officially join and post.

Congrats to Dar and Kathy! I'll have my four year BYC Anniversary in September.

I remember when Mary was The Warden instead of The Sheriff... I still wanna be a little bit of all of y'all when I grow up.

However, I really don't plan to grow up at all. I'll be sixty at the end of August - I didn't get that much of a childhood, so I am relishing this time. I take naps when *I* want to, stay up late if I wish, sleep in until I am ready to stumble around (I was never a good morning person, even as a child), eat ice cream out of the carton, spend time blowing bubbles in the sunlight, and let chickens into the house.

Life is good. (It's certainly better than the alternative..)

Linda, as one who will never be able to retire, ( I have 7 kids, first born when I was 30, last when I was 45) I am envious of you.

Yes, I love all of my kids, but, I am TIRED. I have a friend who has uncontrolled diabetes like me and he passed on my birthday last week... he was 64.

SO, I could be taking a dirt nap sooner than I would have ever imagined.

Oh no Dar, I hate to hear that. As the (retired) payroll manager from a government office, I talked to a LOT of people regarding their retirement plans.

I always referred to that as the "work until they shovel you in" retirement plan. You need to come up with an alternative.

In CELEBRATION OF MY FIVE YEARS HERE ON BYC......I'm going into "lockdown" tomorrow and hatching baby chicks on Saturday.

It's been a wild ride. Today is not only my fifth anniversary here, it is the Fourth Anniversary of kathyinmo. We joined on the same day, one year apart.

SUPER HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Can you believe it's already been 5 years!?!?!
