Thanks for asking.

She has appointments we will have to get her to. Lots of appointments....

In some cases, the brain's attempts to repair itself after a head injury, (or stroke, or other problem) may inadvertently generate abnormal nerve connections that lead to epilepsy. She is to continue taking this anti-seizure medication for a while, and then return to see a specialist about that. She has had no more seizures, since on the medication.

The neurosurgeon had her fitted with a back brace. He warned her that she is not to lift anything over 5 pounds (not even a gallon of milk), or she risks paralysis or damage that could result in a number of things. Her gave stern - strong warnings. This brace is for MONTHS, and he is hopeful to avoid surgery, but said it all depends. Standing and walking increase her pain. Laying down provides minor relief. Of course, the broken rib is a real bonus, too.

I thank God she is alive. I really do. I will do whatever is needed to care for her and her babies....

There is some kind of in home care that she can sign up for, I guess. She needs 24 hour a day assistance herself. In addition, there is child care... Ahhh, we will get through this. Yes, we will. We will figure something out...

I can do this. WE can do this!

Would a box of fine quality quilting fabric comfort and inspire you for the time when you and yours are on the other side of this???
I have so much...all top quality designer...all styles etc. I would gladly mail you a box...you'd at least have time to 'fondle' the fabric and dream...I have so much fabric that it would take 3 lifetimes to use it...would love to share

What a kind offer from cbnovick. BYC peeps are the best!

Yes we are just fine but things were shaking for about 10 seconds. I had a bit of out of body experience to go along with the earthquake. It happened just as I was doing some research on the Vietnam Memorial Wall replica which is in Sacramento today. My first love died in Vietnam and I was looking for his name. Just as I found it, the earth began to shake and my everything was moving around me. It was startling to say the least. I am driving dow to visit the memorial this morning and hope nothing earth shattering happens. It was very eerie.
